A.D.

Quickfire Q&A with Jen!

It’s time for another Quickfire Q&A, and this time we’re meeting our wonderful Accounts Assistant, Jen!

Jen’s been with us for eight years and we would be lost without her! She’s the cog that keeps us moving and makes sure our accounts are kept in order!

A huge animal lover with a heart of gold, it’s time to grab a brew and meet Jen…

Hi Jen! For those who don’t know you, can you tell them a little bit about what you do here at A.D.?

So, I’m the Accounts Assistant, so my role involves a range of activities to support the sales ledger and credit control function within the accounts team.

Some of the duties I’m responsible for include, managing new customer credit accounts, account reconciliation, issuing customer statements, bank reconciliations and purchase ledger activities, like processing invoices and liaising with suppliers.

I love the culture here at A.D., we’re like family and always help each other no matter what, and I enjoy what I do!

What was your first job?

I was an office administrator. I like keeping things in order!

What led you to your career?

It just happened, I suppose, I didn’t go to college or university, I went straight to work after leaving school. I worked in a few office roles, mainly in administrative roles, but I came to A.D. almost eight years ago and love it. The people are great, and I really enjoy the role I play in keeping the business and accounts moving.

If you could have a dream job other than working at A.D., what would it be?

I love dogs, so if I could do any other job, I would be a dog walker or offer dog boarding services.

What’s your guilty pleasure TV?

Anything funny! I’m a sucker for comedy, so if it’s funny, it’s staying on the TV.

Best movie?

Pulp Fiction!

Best band?

The Courteeners!

Best gig?

P!nk at The Reebok Stadium was incredible! Her shows are like circus performances!

If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Would have to be crisps. In any form! Give me a packet of crisps and I am happy, whatever the flavour!

Top 3 words your best friend would use to describe you?

Outgoing, funny, and kind.

Top 3 words your partner would use to describe you?

Crazy, loving, and thoughtful

Top 3 words your mum would use to describe you?

Caring, beautiful (of course, mums say that!), and selfless.

Best holiday destination?

Lindos in Rhodes. It’s where we got married, so it has a very special place in our hearts.

If you won 10 million pounds, what would you do?

Treat all my family and friends, buy a mega-big house and start, my dream dog boarding business!

What would the title of your autobiography be?

All about me!

Thanks Jen! If you’re up for a spot of dog sitting, we can make it happen!
