Building a community where people can thrive
Providing support where it matters most
We genuinely care about the legacy we leave behind, and that means acting now to make a difference to the lives of people around the world.
As part of our ESG journey, we’re seeking B-Corp certification to show that we’re delivering high standards of verified performance, accountability, and transparency in our business.
This means we’re joining forces with organisations to create an inclusive global economy where everyone can thrive. Here are some of the ways we’re influencing change:
- Supporting equality, diversity and inclusion in the workplace
- Driving our economic impact through recruitment
- Engaging in civic duties to support our local communities
- Working with supply chain partners who share our vision and value
Improving equality, diversity and inclusion in the workplace
Diversity, equality and inclusion are at the heart of our business, and we’re proud to be a minority-owned business.
We firmly believe that everyone has the right to be treated fairly regardless of ability, age, gender, disability, religious beliefs, race, ethnicity, marital status or sexual orientation.
We have a fair recruitment process – whether we’re hiring externally or promoting internally – and we have mentors in place to support the ongoing development of our team as they progress their careers with us.
Our values extend beyond our business too, and we expect our supply chain partners to commit to building diverse and inclusive teams too, and cultivating environments that are fair and equal to all.
Driving our economic impact
We have an incredible team at A.D., with talented people working hard to help us drive our business forward.
We’re always looking for talented people with the right skill sets to join our team and actively advertise positions online and across social media to engage talent, and have cultivated an environment for our team to deliver incredible work remotely – wherever they are in the UK.
We’re proud to say that we have a thriving apprenticeship programme too, with over 20% of our employees coming from our A.D. Academy.
And, we regularly provide work experience placements to local schools and colleges, giving young people the opportunity to gain valuable experience and build their CVs in the process too!
Connecting with our local communities
We are charitable partners with Trafford Council and Feed My City, and have provided support in a number of ways, including event hosting, providing free products and cash donations, as well as volunteering duties.
More recently, we have supported Trafford Council’s Working Wardrobe initiative which is a community project that offers people a smart outfit for interviews for free. We supported the programme by providing free studio time to prepare artwork for livery on their mobile van service and giving the team free products for their launch event, including pop-up banners and merchandise.
We’re always on the lookout for great charities to support and we welcome enquiries from those who would like to work with us.
Choosing the right supply chain partners
We value relationships with those who care about their people and local communities too, and have a strict code of conduct that our supply chain partners adhere to.
This means our supply chain partners must prove to us that they’re doing all they can to uphold equality, diversity and inclusion in the workplace. They must demonstrate action to remove barriers to individual development and create an environment that is free from discrimination, harassment and bullying.
Employees should always be treated with dignity and respect and valued for the skills and talents they bring to the company.
In addition to this, we expect our supply chain partners to care for their environment and protect the health and wellbeing of those working in and living close to their manufacturing facilities.
