We’re kicking off our Quickfire Q&A with the fabulous Katie Wiggins! 

Katie has been part of our team for 8-years and is one of our most loved Account Directors.

Hi Katie! For those who don’t know you, can you tell them a little bit about what you do here at A.D.? 

So, I specialise in account management, this means giving my clients a positive experience, making sure they are listened to and delivering on all points, exceeding expectations. 

I work from home most days, but I do love a trip up to the office. The team is fantastic. It is true what they say, the further up North you go, the warmer the people. We have some very funny characters and you always feel part of something special. 

What was your first job?

Working in a Café at Birmingham’s Rag Market, age 15! 

What energises you at work? 

I love the variety of what we do. Taking a brief from a client, understanding their needs and wants and what they aim to achieve and hitting this on all levels from budget, product and delivery. 

Buying well for the client is equally important. Making sure we are giving every client the maximum value in terms of price and product. 

What led you to your career?

Over 20 years ago, I was looking for a change of career. Having great success in sales for a few years I was searching for a new career where I could grow and develop. 

Branding found me as I was looking more towards a role in recruitment. I interviewed for a company called CMC, David Moodie who was the D in A.D. but has since retired, hired me and I fell in love with the diversity of the branding industry. 

If you could have a dream job other than working at A.D., what would it be?

Something to do with fashion branding!

If you won 10 million pounds what would you do?

Sort my family and close friends out. Hire a nanny and tutor, travel the world for a year with my little family, and think about what to do next. 

Top dinner party guests and why? 

George Michael, Rylan Clarke, Adele, Dolly Parton and my best friend Kelly. Why? Because, at heart, I’m a gay man! 

If you could have a superpower for one day, what would it be? 

To be able to grant my family and friends 3 wishes each.  

If I were invisible, I would… 

Get on a plane and go somewhere hot. 

What would the title of your autobiography be?

“The No-Nonsense Approach to Life”
