Quickfire Q&A with Adam!

It’s time for another Quickfire Q&A, and this time we’re meeting our Project Executive – Adam!

Adam has been with us for 9 years! Originally joining us on our apprenticeship scheme, Adam has worked incredibly hard to progress through the business and is now a core member of our project team. He’s loved by our clients and is a great support to younger team members who are starting their careers in the same way Adam did.

He is a lover of history and general knowledge and has some pretty awesome book recommendations, so grab a brew and meet Adam…

Hi Adam! For those who don’t know you, can you tell them a little bit about what you do here at A.D.?

As a Project Executive, my job includes processing projects from the initial enquiry stage all the way through to delivery to the client. In addition, I get involved in sourcing product ideas for clients and raising quotes. Essentially, I work with our clients to help them find the perfect branded solution to fit their project objectives and budgets!

I really enjoy working at A.D. The team is dynamic and a joy to be with each day.

What was your first job?

I worked as a cashier in Iceland. I mostly worked on the tills, but from time to time, I also stocked the shelves.

What energises you at work?

I genuinely care about being a reliable and valued member of the team, and I always want more responsibility, so I’m committed to developing my skillset through learning new skills.

Luckily, I’m surrounded by talented people with years of experience, so I can lean on them for help and advice.

What led you to your career?

After college, I was interested in undertaking an apprenticeship and working at A.D. seemed like a great opportunity to learn and earn.

If you could have a dream job other than working at A.D., what would it be?

It has to be a footballer! I once played for Bury FC’s under 11s/12s team, but never took it further.

In my college years, I played for numerous five-a-side teams.

What’s your guilty pleasure TV?

House of the Dragon. It is a brilliant addition to the ‘Game of Thrones’ universe.

Best movie?

2006’s Casino Royale; not only is it a great James Bond film with a stellar cast, but I also enjoy Poker!

Best TV?

Peaky Blinders. I’m gutted it’s finished, but glad there’s a movie coming out!

Top book recommendations?

  1. A song of Ice & Fire (Game of Thrones book #1) by George R.R.Martin
  2. Fairy Tail by Stephen King
  3. Lord of the Rings. The Fellowship of the Ring – John R.R. Tolkien

Best band?

The Beatles. I can’t say I enjoy all of their music, but their most classic hits are iconic.

Best gig?

I’ve only ever been to one; to see The Script in 2018 in the Manchester Arena.

Top 3 acts you’d love to see live

The Beatles, Queen and Elvis Presley.

If you could play one character in TV or Film, who would it be and why?

Yoda is a great character in Star Wars. He’s knowledgeable, wise, strong with the force, and a master Jedi.

Best Hero?

Spiderman

Best Villain?

The Joker. It was a close call between Darth Vader & Joker, but Joker has the edge!

If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Chicken Stir Fry. I could eat stir fry forever!

Top 3 words your best friend would use to describe you?

Ambitious, intelligent and curious

Top 3 words your mum would use to describe you?

Attentive, sensible and responsible

Top 3 words your partner would use to describe you?

Funny, intelligent and empathetic

Best holiday destination?

New York. I find there’s so much to do and see. I’ve been to Broadway, seen the sights, ate at the local favourite restaurants, walked through Central Park, and visited the Museum of Natural History, and despite all that, I feel as though I’ve barely scratched the surface!

If you won 10 million pounds what would you do?

I would be boring and sensible and invest it into property, most likely, haha! – saying that, I would also buy everything that catches my eye!

Top 3 dinner party guests and why?

  1. Leonardo Da Vince was one of the most influential people of the Italian Renaissance era, and his influence was so great that you wouldn’t even realise it!
  2. Einstein. Genius of his time whose thoughts and views I would love to hear!
  3. Sir Alex Ferguson. Almost 30 years of managing Manchester United. I would be interested in his insight of how to keep a team competitive for such a long period of time

If you could have a superpower for one day, what would it be?

Telekinesis. It would be helpful to use the mind to control and influence objects without physical interaction.

If I were invisible, I would…

I’d be a bit naughty and would probably sneak into events, such as football matches, without paying!

What would the title of your autobiography be?

An insignificant nobody in a limitless universe.

Tell us a fun fact that people may not know about you…

I have a keen interest in history and general knowledge; I find myself curious about the earth and the universe and can’t take in enough information!

Thanks Adam! We loved finding out more about you!
